Taneka Walker is a dedicated nurse practitioner who has been passionate about healthcare since the age of 17. Coming from humble beginnings, she began her journey in the medical field as a teenager and enlisted in the Air Force immediately after high school, serving as a Medical Assistant. While enlisted, Taneka pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Wright State University, where her love for the nursing profession inspired her to continue her education. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati—Go Bearcats! Taneka’s career spans decades, balancing her roles as a healthcare professional, mother, and active-duty service member. In 2013, she transitioned to the United States Public Health Service, where she served her country with distinction until her retirement in April 2023.
